G U I Dance

This was sent to us to encourage and bless those who are involved in the TTG cause. Let us continue to uphold each other in prayer and as we put to practice P U S H, may we also learn to "dance with God" and allow Him to lead and give us guidance.

G U I D A N C E

Dancing With God

When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.

I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.

When two people try to lead, nothing feels right...
The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.

When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.
It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.

The dance takes surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.

My eyes drew back to the word   Guidance.
When I saw "G": I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".
"God, "u" and "i" dance."
God, you, and I dance.

As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust
that I would get     guidance about my life.
Once again, I became willing to let God lead.

My prayer for you today is that God's blessings
and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday.
May you abide in God, as God  abides in you.

Dance together with God, trusting God to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life.
This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached.

If God has done anything for  you in your life,
please share this message with someone else.
There is no cost but a lot of rewards;
so let's continue to pray for one another.

And I Hope You Dance Through 2010

God bless you

A letter from an Axed Member - Learn from the Buffalos

Just Added on 23/3/10 : An encouraging note by Bro Vijay at the end of this article which gives us a better understanding of why the National Christian Bodies are / seems silent on the Calvary Church Saga. Scroll down to read.

******************************

We received this letter which was written to CT in response to this Comment by someone who is identified as Hidden Believer ;

I worship at an AOG church but besides contributing financially (I really dont want to offend God in financial matters),I tend to stay in the background as I have no particular gifting.Last 2 Sundays a strange event happened in our church.During the preaching, the Pastor suddenly started to blast Calvary Today Blog and stated,in an unusually high pitch, that those bloggers have gone astray after Satan. And he started to pray against those instruments of Satan and urged all the church to stand against those demonic forces .His last warning was quite comical, to say the least!!To quote him,"This church does not permit anyone to participate in those Satanic activity"!! Judging by the unusual outburst, I realized for the first time that he may have something to hide. And I decided to to visit your blog straightaway. Why the sudden outburst? I felt sorry for the youth & oldies who were visibly terrified!!I mentioned this incident to my colleagues and we had a good laugh. In fact 1 non- Christian laughed so loud, until her tummy cramped and there were tears in her eyes!!

Dear Calvary Today Administrator,

I read the comment which you posted and immediately I remembered a video in the You tube someone asked me to watch. I am very saddened by what some AOG pastors are saying to their congregation on Sunday Worship time. We Christians go to church to hear God’s Word and we are hoping that God has an encouraging word for us so that we can face the many challenges in the office or marketplace. It is sad that pastors use the pulpit to propagate their own personal convictions and not really hearing God and preaching His Word to His children.

I have wondered for a long time why the AOG Council, the NECF and other Christian Bodies in Malaysia are still not aware of what is happening in Calvary Church. If they are aware, then how come they are not helping to solve the problem?

Now I understand a little bit why the AOG council, NECF and other Christian Bodies are not doing anything. They are all run by pastors.

I hope this video will encourage us all that we have to take care of ourselves. We must do like what the buffalos in this video did. Stand united together and support the few in front who are attacking and trying to safe the baby that was caught by the lions. Although there was only one or two fierce buffalo who dare to attack the lions, but the whole group were standing behind to give group support to those few front ones.

If buffalos know how to group together and give group support to the few front leaders to help save a young buffalo in their group from being eaten by the lions…. WHAT ABOUT US? We are not buffalos. We are humans created in the image of God. We cannot let our brothers and sisters in Christ to be called by pastors as satanic.

Calvary Church pastors have bullied the children of God. They have kicked the church members OUT of GOD’S HOUSE. They have no right to kick God’s children out of their Heavenly Father’s House.

Another thing I want to say is, how come the Christian Bodies in Malaysia are not doing anything to help? How come PG can do all the wrong things and still get scot free? Everyday we read in the papers directors are arrested because of CBT, how come PG can still run the church?

Yesterday, I was reading Psalm 20 and verse 7 says, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses…” Yes that is the answer God gave me. PG have worked so hard to make sure he is still the head in all the Christian Bodies so they cannot go against their head. PG is still the Emeritus Superintendant of the AOG Council. PG is still the Advisor of the NECF. So when they approach him for advise as what to do with the TTG, of course PG will say do nothing. Of course PG will advise them that TTG is satanic, so now the pastors of course will say TTG is satanic without investigating the facts first. They must listen to their Advisor. PG is trusting the powerful chariots and horses that he himself is lord over.

TTG brother and sisters, do not be discouraged. We will follow the next part of verse 7, "...but we trust in the Name of the Lord our God."

God will help us even if we are like the buffalos (church members), although the lions (pastors) are attacking us, we will stick together and help our brothers and sisters who are hurt.

We just received this devotional thought in our mail which once again have proven that our God is always Good. He has spoken through this faithful servant a very timely message for us wounded Calvarites again. Indeed, our stand is"...but we trust in the Name of the Lord our God."

GOD’S ULTIMATE PLAN

By the close of the book of Genesis, God had chosen a small, insignificant
people to become a teaching nation. He wanted to raise up a people who would be
living examples of his goodness to the heathen world. So, to bring about such a
testimony, God took his people into places that were beyond their control. He
isolated Israel in a wilderness, where he alone would be their only source of
life, caring for their every need.

Israel had no control over their survival in that desolate place. ...

God would do it all for them. He would guide them every day by a miracle cloud,
one that glowed at night and dispelled the darkness before them. He would feed
them with angels’ food from heaven and provide them with water from a rock.
Yes, every single need would be supplied by the Lord, and no enemy would be
able to defeat them.

God raised up a people who would be trained by him. There had to be a people
who lived under his authority, who would trust him completely, giving him full
control of every aspect of their lives. That people would become his testimony
to the world.

Why would God want full control of a people and insist on their complete trust
at all times? It was because only God knew the way and he would perform the
impossible that was needed to get them there.

This is a Comment that Bro Vijay has put in CT to encourage us to stand firm and intercede for Calvary Church. Let us continue to Pray Until Something Happens!

Dear Bro/Sister "Still Waiting".

I have close contacts with National Christian Organisations but unfortunately, and very sadly, none brave enough to make a stand and do the right thing. (Note I am not singling out specific National Christian Organisations as I have good friends in many)

I have had my own share of disappointments and heartbreaks as I observe my brothers/sisters who are committee members of National Christian Organisations chose to remain silent. They are good people - like many of us. They fear God and I think at times they have silently shed tears seeing the situation not only in Calvary Church but other churches too. As I write, I know of 4 churches in the Klang Valley going through leadership crisis that has split the church.

They know the issue and agree with me that the Senior Pastor PG of Calvary Church must graciously step down and leave. Unfortunately, none willing to make a public comment.

Why? - perhaps they feel they are not "good enough" to judge another senior pastor. Perhaps it is because of past relationships or blessings they have received from PG. Perhaps they do not want to be seen as the person to rock the boat of fear they may open a bigger Pandora's box.

All I can tell you is they are doing something but unfortunately the progress is too slow. What is needed is a tipping point - an event that will cause more of the committee members to voice the need for a public statement and to put into pen and paper what they know in the heart is TRUTH.

If more cry out for justice, the voice of many will over shadow the present fear and indifference that still exist in the various National Christian Organisation committees.

This is were we need intercession to tip the tipping point in our favour. You see bro/sis - a prayer worrier has no obligation to see thru a prayer being answered. He/she can say - "if it is God's will" and leave the matter in God's hands.

However, on the other hand an intercessor has counted the cost and lays down his/her reputation (as some of you have done) and DECLARE IT IS THE WILL OF GOD THAT THE SENIOR PASTOR AND HIS CRONIES BE REMOVED AND THE CHURCH RETURNED TO THE RIGHTFUL OWNER - THE HOLY SPIRIT HIMSELF & THE CONGREGATION. THEY WILL NOT TAKE "NO" FOR AN ANSWER.

For those interested in the power of intercession - please refer to Rees Howells Intercessor.

Note - Intercession is not long prayers or repeated prayers - Intercession is an act where you lay down your life for the sake of your bro/sis who are currently suffering under the hands of cruel task masters. In your spirit, you need to come to a position where you forsake your reputation, standing in society and pleasures. Many a times, those closest to you will leave or betray you! You will enter the dark night of the soul where you have only God as your friend. The enemy will never give you rest. At times you feel even God has betrayed you! But at such times, tell Him, "though you slay me - I will still trust YOU!"

This is the kiros time - give Him no rest until your demands are met. This my friends is what the Lord has shown regarding Calvary Church. One day you will look back and see His glory fill the temple and bro/sisters untied and worshiping Him.

GIVE HIM (GOD) NO REST, PRESS ON UNTIL HE GRANTS YOUR REQUEST.

Vijay

Let us P U S H...

This well thought of and highly inspired call TO PRAY for our church was written by a TTG supporter. In line with what has just happened in Calvary Church i e, the removal of hundreds of names from the church membership roll, Calvary Today administrators are urging all our brothers and sisters in Christ to unite to pray for God's intervention and to bring His plan and purpose for Calvary Church to fulfillment.

Let us therefore, join our hearts together in prayer for Calvary Church and the hundreds of Calvarites removed from the church membership roll. We need our Almighty God's wisdom and intervention in the Calvary Saga. Let us Pray Until Something Happens (P U S H), starting today.

***********************************************

Dear Friends,

It is good that we encourage one another to pray and wait upon the Lord on pressing issues that we are facing right now.

This morning I was seeking the Lord and asking Him what would be relevant for us to pray about specifically for this time. I was led to read several passages from Habbakuk, Nahum and Ezekiel 34 and in so doing I am led to write to you on the following;-

1. Pray that we will stay close to God even when we face the toughest situation and opposition.
That we will draw strength and wisdom from His Word each day.

2. Pray for God's protection and covering upon all TTG supporters and families.

a) That we shall not be fearful but instead be courageous even in the midst of strong opposition, using His Word to guard our hearts and minds.

b) We will not allow the evil one to threaten or demoralise us, neither shall we yield to anger and resentment against our enemies and thus be embroiled in arguments or verbal attacks against anyone because it will cause bitterness in us.

c) We will submit to God's rule and reign in our hearts and pray for God's divine intervention in the situation.

d) We shall choose to respond and not react to the challenges at hand.

3. We shall ask the Lord for wisdom and guidance to take the right steps in the process. Proverbs 3:5-6.
Even though the way is unknown but God will lead us through the unknown because He holds us by His right hand.

a) We will ask God for His signs of goodness and favour upon us. Psalm 86:17.

b) We will not be anxious or worried but wait upon God worshipfully and trust Him unreservedly for God has an appointed time for everything.
Habbakuk 2:2-3, "But the revelation awaits an appointed time, it speaks of the end and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it; It will certainly come and will not delay."

c) Despite all the wrongs and injustice in our time, we will continue to praise and seek after God.

4. Keep our focus on God for He cares for us and He will bring deliverance for He will judge the peoples. Our God is a righteous and avenging God. Nahum 1:2-7,  "The Lord is a jealous and avenging God, the Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath against His enemies. The Lord is slow to anger and great in power; the Lord will not leave the guilty unpunished..." v7. "The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him."

5. We claim His promise that we being His sheep are very dear to Him and He will judge the shepherds for having failed to care for His sheep but instead have harmed them and deliberately abused their powers and scattered His sheep... Ezekiel 34:7-10 God will remove the ungodly shepherds from tending the flock and will hold them accountable for his flock. Again we shall look to God for His hand of deliverance for the sheep.

6. What next...? be open to the Lord's revelation to us that God will provide us a new shepherd and new beginning for us to serve Him in greater measure and boldness! Pray for a willing heart and open mind so He can pour out His vision and anointing to us. Maybe it can be a sign of God's goodness to us... it is all about God's timing and His plans for us. Pray that our hearts are always right and pure before Him.

As we seek God's face in this whole episode we shall not be troubled but instead rest upon His promises and strength for all of us. His peace shall be upon us all. Phil 4:6-7

May God Bless us all.

JESUS AND STORMS

Jesus ordered his disciples into a boat that was headed for a collision. The Bible says he “constrained [them] to get into a ship…” that was headed for troubled waters where it would be tossed about like a bobbing cork. The disciples would be thrust into a mini-Titanic experience—and Jesus knew it all the time.

“And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away” (Matthew 14:22).

Where was Jesus? He was up in the mountains overlooking that sea. He was there praying for them not to fail the test he knew they must go through. The boat trip, the storm, the tossing waves, the winds were all a part of a trial the Father had planned. They were about to learn the greatest lesson they would ever learn—how to recognize Jesus in the storm.

At this point, the disciples recognized him as the miracle worker, the Man who turned loaves and fishes into miracle food. They recognized him as the friends of sinners, the One who brought salvation to every kind of humanity. They knew him as the supplier of all their needs, even paying their taxes with money from a fish’s mouth.

They recognized Jesus as “the Christ, the very Son of God.” They knew he had the words of eternal life. They knew he had power over all the works of the devil. They knew him as a teacher, teaching them how to pray, to forgive, to bind and to loose. But they had never learned to recognize Jesus in the storm.

This is the root of much of our trouble today. We trust Jesus for miracles and healing. We believe him for our salvation and the forgiveness of our sins. We look to him as the supplier of all our needs and we trust him to bring us into glory one day. But when a sudden storm falls upon us and it seems like everything is falling apart, we find it difficult to see Jesus anywhere near.

We can’t believe he allows storms to teach us how to trust. We are never quite sure he is nearby when things get really rough.

There was only one lesson for the disciples to learn in this storm—only one!

A simple lesson—not some deep, mystical, earth-shattering one. Jesus simply wanted to be trusted as their Lord in every storm of life. He simply wanted the disciples to maintain their cheer and confidence even in the blackest hours of trial. That’s all!

My Parents' Homecoming

February 14, 2010 was a memorable day this year as it was a day of double celebrations. Chinese from all over the world celebrated Chinese New Year and couples from all over the world celebrated Valentine's Day.

However, just a few weeks before, in the home of Brother Hong Meng, there seemed to be a double tragedy whereby both his parents were called home to be with the Lord. Friends and relatives gathered to share in the grief of the loss of his parents due to old age. Many felt at loss for words to comfort him but this article which he submitted to The Star brought great relief to his family and friends. After reading the article, we cannot help but to rejoice with Brother Hong Meng to know that his parents had lived a wonderful life here on earth and they have kept their vows to each other and have left behind a great legacy. It is very comforting to know that they are both in the loving arms of God for eternity together.

We have copied the article here for those who missed the article in the Star papers.

Couple together for eternity

FEB 14 is Valentine’s Day and also Chinese New Year. It would have been my dad’s, Wong Siew Leong, 91st birthday but he passed into glory on Feb 4, 2010. As he chased after my mum for her hand in marriage 64 years ago, he chased after her again into heaven.

My mum, Wong Mei Seong, died on Jan 22, 2010 at the age of 84.

He prayed, indeed pleaded with God, that he not be separated from her for too long and his prayer of love was answered.

They came from different worlds.

He was brought up in wealth in Hong Kong and she the daughter of a poor tin mine worker.

After the family wealth was squandered away by his father and uncles through opium and gambling and his university education cut short by Japan’s invasion of China, my dad came to Malaya at the age of 18 to start work as an office boy in a goldsmith shop.

He was fair and handsome with refined and discerning tastes cultivated from young.

She, nicknamed “hark mao tarn” or dark beauty, was uneducated but taught herself to read and write and soon acquired the best of social graces.

Early married life was a struggle. Although he was progressing well in his career, his salary from the goldsmith shop was not enough to support both his family and his mother in Hong Kong.

She had to wash clothes for others to supplement the family income.

They invested their lives in me and my four younger sisters, providing us with all the opportunities they possibly could.

And all of us made it. We were their only treasures and their legacies.

So when he retired some 22 years ago, we were able to ensure that the latter part of their earthly lives was well provided for; adequately comfortable and pleasant.

He recognised that they both had good lives; well lived.

In a poem he calligraphed on his 76th birthday, he declared he had a most satisfying life.

There was nothing he was in need of and nothing more he could wish for.

In the last line he laughed that as an often bickering couple they bickered till both their hair grew white.

They both became Christians late in life. He, at age 63, obeyed the advice and counsel of his own mother who was 90 at that time.

She, at age 66, after she was afflicted with stage 3A cancer.

He had been in and out of hospital a few times but she had never been hospitalised since the cancer operation.

We had expected him to go first. But life and death is in God’s hand.

When my mum was hospitalised this time my dad told me with some degree of conviction that God was taking her home.

And sure enough, what he knew in his spirit came to pass. At her funeral, he told her to go ahead first. He would follow soon after. And he did, just two weeks later.

On the day of his home coming service it rained from 3.30 till 5 in the evening but by 7 the sky was filled with a beautiful sunset.

At the service itself, two white butterflies were seen flying together among the assembled friends and relatives.

On the day of his burial, a pair of cuckoo birds hatched out on my son’s bedroom window sill. All signs from God to comfort and assure us that indeed they are together in His glorious presence for eternity.

Isn’t this a great Valentine story?
