This propensity toward exaltation one’self has it roots in what we know as PRIDE – one of the most damaging sin of christiandom.

Satan, or Lucifer, was saturated with it. He was a cherubim of the highest order before God. But it was’nt enough for him. He craved to ASCEND to the highest heaven and be above the almighty God. And God cast him down to the lowest pitt called hell. Isa. 14:12 – 15.

God hates pride. It is one of seven things that God simply abhors Prov. 6.17.

There is only one way out of pride. It to strive to go the opposite way i.e. which is towards humililty.

Each time you make a step towards humility you be further away from pride.

When you are really humble everyone will recognise it. It is the same with pride. If you are proud it is glaringly obvious. You can't hide though some people think they can - they are only lying to themselves.

Peter strongly exhorts us, “to HUMBLE yourselves under the mighty hand of the Lord!”. Why? Because those who humble themselves will receive grace and be exalted by GOD ( Jam. 4:6, Mat. 23:12).

JESUS said, The greatest of you must the SERVANT OF ALL (Mat. 23:11).

Jesus also said,”For I am among you as one who SERVES”(Luk. 22:27).

HUMILITY and the SERVANTHOOD ......used to be emphasised in the days gone by. It should be re-emphasised again.....and again..........and again......

We ALL need a little reminding.

Simple wisdom from the kampong roads, “You knoow huh, what goes up must come downlah!”pshnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09440009575218097491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572286675309555126.post-74594817828535508542008-10-22T16:18:00.000+08:002008-10-22T16:18:00.000+08:00This comment has been removed by the author.pshnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09440009575218097491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572286675309555126.post-9276953691746776022008-10-21T20:08:00.000+08:002008-10-21T20:08:00.000+08:00This comment has been removed by the author.pshnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09440009575218097491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572286675309555126.post-34995890736436621862008-09-24T22:55:00.000+08:002008-09-24T22:55:00.000+08:00More specifically, the Senior Executive Pastor-CEO...More specifically, the Senior Executive Pastor-CEO of Calvary Church, Rev.Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Prince GuneratnamAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572286675309555126.post-8567454578787732702008-09-22T23:37:00.000+08:002008-09-22T23:37:00.000+08:00Hi. Greed is so natural. If we can have two, three, or four, why have one? God speaks very clearly in His word that kings [or, senior pastors - some senior pastors do see themselves as kings, and even worse, they act like they are really kings!] are NOT to multiply horses [or luxury cars, in today's context!], silver, gold [or loaded personal ministry bank accounts, in today's context!] or women, yet Solomom did it and was not judged.(Tang, 2005, 29-30)"

Is this a comment on someone in particular?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1572286675309555126.post-11649603367885643692008-09-20T18:45:00.000+08:002008-09-20T18:45:00.000+08:00You are welcome to borrow my posts.
